This policy explains what information Dou San ("we", "the platform") collects when you use the site at dousan.my, and how it's used. Dou San is a multiplayer card game platform (Big 2, 7 Card Poker, Russian Poker) played with other real players.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address — used to sign in, verify your account, and send password-reset or account-related emails.
• Password — stored only as a salted hash; we never store or can see your actual password. Not applicable if you sign in with Google.
• Google account info — if you use "Continue with Google", we receive your Google account ID, email address, and name from Google to create or sign in to your account. We do not receive your Google password.
• Callsign — the public display name you choose, shown to other players.
• Avatar — if you set one.

While you play, we also collect:

• Gameplay data — game sessions, rounds, results, and scores, so we can show your history and maintain accurate standings.
• In-game chat messages — sent to other players at your table, stored with the game session.
• Friends and private rooms — who you've added as a friend, and rooms you own or are invited to.

Cookies

Dou San does not use tracking or advertising cookies. We use two short-lived, first-party cookies only during Google sign-in (to protect against cross-site request forgery and to briefly hold your verified Google identity while you pick a callsign, for new accounts) — both expire automatically within 10 minutes. Your regular signed-in session is a token stored in your browser's session storage, not a cookie, and is cleared when you close the browser tab.

How we use this information

• To operate your account and let you play games with others.
• To show your game history, standings, and stats.
• To send account-related emails (verification, password reset).
• To detect and prevent abuse, cheating, or misuse of the platform.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Third parties we use

• Google — if you choose to sign in with Google. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Resend — our email delivery provider, used only to send verification and password-reset emails.

Virtual credits and scores

Any in-game credits, scores, or standings on Dou San are virtual, have no real-world monetary value, and cannot be purchased, withdrawn, or exchanged for real money.

Data retention

We keep account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account deactivated or your data deleted, contact us using the details below.

Children's privacy

Dou San is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
